Once there was a girl who was very polite and cared for everybody .Her name was Pinki. She was very well-mannered and if anybody gave her something she would first refuse to take it.

One day as she was going to school she found a note of Rs. 10 on the pavement .She took it and kept it in her school bag.

Afterwards when she was in school she was very exited and told her friends about the money that she had found. Now, her greedy friends became jealous. As they didn't get pocket money, they decided to take the lucky girl's Rs. 10 note. In the recess they slipped into the classroom and stole the money .

When Pinki went home she found out that the pink envelope in which she had put the money was missing. She became very sad and told her parents about it. But their parents told her not to worry about it as it was not even a good thing to keep money somebody's lost money.

The next day she was talking about something with her friends when she saw that her friends were looking more and more guilty and nervous as she was talking to them. She got confused. Later that day, when Pinki was playing a game with her friends one girl ,who was none other than the leader of the plan to steal Pinki's money, slipped on some mud and fell down. She was hurt very badly and the other children crowded around her and panicked. But Pinki remained calm and at once pinched her friend's wound so that it would not bleed. She told the others to get some help and not to crowd around the girl who had wounded her head to provide oxygen. Soon the teachers took the girl to the hospital and within a week she regained her health. Pinki became very popular in the school.

Two weeks later when Pinki was doing her homework the friend whom she had helped came to her house. She had the pink envelope with the money in it. Her eyes were red. She had been crying. She gave the envelope to Pinki and said, "Pinki, I had made Rosa and Babli take your money. That day when you helped me I felt very guilty and now I am feeling satisfied to tell you the truth. You are such a nice friend! But please don't tell the school about this. Please!" Then Pinki said "You have now been honest and I don't want to punish you.But you have done a very bad thing. I will not tell anyone but I want you not to be greedy and to never do something wrong." The guilty girl, Sumi promised Pinki to do what she said, thanked her and cheered up.

At the end of the term Pinki was given a prize for being a very helpful girl in the school. Sumi became a good and honest girl and was never greedy again.
